As we have explained on our previous article, at Xave we care deeply about the environment; that is why we have created Xave Forest: the lungs of the metaverse.

Xave forest is located in the center of Alala, the biggest city in Xave World. It is a tropical forest that covers an area of 20 hectares.

Each tree is represented by an NFT called NFTree. Each NFTree is linked to 10 new trees that are planted in the real world

The NFTrees generate $CCO2 tokens equivalent to the amount of CO2 its real-life homologues eliminate from the atmosphere.

Each tree is represented by an NFT called NFTree. Each NFTree is linked to 10 new trees that are planted in the real world. The owners of the NFTrees will start collecting $CCO2 tokens from the moment the tree is planted and will keep collecting them for 20 years.

Proof of Carbon Compensation:

A proof of carbon compensation certificate or PoCC is an NFT (ERC721) that is obtained by burning a $CCO2 token on the Coorest platform. It is sent directly to the holder’s wallet and contains details such as the date, the amount of CO2 compensated, the identity of the person or business compensating their carbon footprint and the reason for compensation.

The PoCC certificate guarantees the compensation of carbon emissions since the entry on the blockchain cannot be tampered with.

Each 10-Tree NFTree absorbs 5 tones of CO2 over 20 years, that means Xave Forest will eliminate a total of 10.000 tones CO2 from the planet.
